Jackson Street Elementary School serves students in grades 4-8. We offer a variety of educational opportunities for our students at JSS. Our enrichment program includes band, strings, stem, performing arts, and CTE. We have specialized physical education instructors that provide standards based physical education instruction to all students.

The Yreka Union Elementary School District provides a strong academic program that is articulated across all grade levels. We employ our own Special Education teachers and have a robust intervention program. Our district offers support to English Learners through a specialized ELD teacher and we offer Gifted and Talented educational opportunities to qualifying students. We are proud of the accomplishments taking place at Jackson Street School, and strive to continue to provide a curriculum that produces articulate, confident, and skilled individuals.

In addition to academics, we offer both competitive and intramural sports. 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to try out for volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading. 5-8th grade students may also participate in track and field and cross-country. Additionally, we offer a winter sports program every winter. 

Our goal at Jackson Street Elementary School is to provide every student with the tools to grow and develop educationally and socially, so that every student has the opportunity to reach his/her full potential.
